Upcoming Horror Gems: 5 Movies You Can't Miss in 2026!
The year 2026 is full of surprises for horror fans. From new monsters to the return of classic legends, these movies are going to be the talk of the town. Here are 5 upcoming horror movies you need to watch out for!
1. They Will Kill You
Directed by the talented Kirill Sokolov, this movie is a mix of horror and dark humor. It follows a woman who takes a housekeeping job in a mysterious high-rise building where people keep disappearing.
Release Date: March 27, 2026.
My Take: I’ve seen Sokolov’s previous work, and he knows how to make things intense and funny at the same time. Having Zazie Beetz in the lead role makes me even more excited!
2. Monitor
Directed by Matt Black and Ryan Polly, this high-concept horror story is about social media moderators who refuse to publish a creepy video, only to be hunted by a demonic creature that travels through screens.
Release Date: August 13, 2026.
My Take: This sounds like a modern version of "The Ring" but for the social media generation. The idea of a monster following you through your phone screen is truly terrifying!
3. Ready or Not: Here I Come
The directors Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin are bringing back Grace (Samara Weaving) for another deadly game. This is the long-awaited sequel to the 2019 hit.
Release Date: March 20, 2026.
My Take: The first movie was perfect—smart, bloody, and funny. This one I'm super excited for. I can’t wait to see how Samara Weaving will survive another night with a crazy family. She is the ultimate "Final Girl"!
4. Lee Cronin's The Mummy
After the success of "Evil Dead Rise," director Lee Cronin is giving us a new, twisted version of The Mummy. Forget the action-adventure; this is going to be a "living nightmare."
Release Date: April 17, 2026.
My Take: Lee Cronin proved he can make old stories feel fresh and scary again. This won't be like the old Mummy movies we know; expect something much darker and more demonic.
5. Evil Dead Burn
Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, this is the next standalone movie in the "Evil Dead" universe. It promises to bring a "French twist" to the blood and gore we all love.
Release Date: July 24, 2026.
My Take: "Evil Dead" never misses! Sébastien Vaniček is a great director for this franchise because his style is very aggressive and fast. I’m ready for more Deadites and lots of fake blood!
